Get Started

First, here is some general info you may need to know before reaching out. Take a moment to read through a few of my policies and procedures then proceed to the instructions below.

  • I am an out-of-network provider. I don’t bill insurance directly, but I can provide a weekly or monthly superbill you can submit to your insurance for possible reimbursement. If you’re not sure whether your plan includes out-of-network benefits, I recommend calling your insurance company to ask.

  • I offer in-person therapy at my office in Midtown Manhattan and telehealth sessions for clients located in NY, NJ, CT, MA, VA, and HI.

  • I see older adolescents and adults—generally ages 17+. I don’t currently offer couples therapy or group therapy. Most of my clients are navigating trauma, anxiety, depression, or relational issues. If you’re unsure whether I’m the right fit, reach out and we can talk it through.

  • Sessions are typically weekly, especially in the beginning. We can always talk about what makes sense for your needs and schedule. I offer sessions during regular weekday hours; I currently offer evenings and some weekends.

  • I require 48 hours' notice to cancel or reschedule an appointment. Sessions canceled with less than 48 hours' notice are billed in full.

How to Become a Client

If you’re thinking therapy might help, the best way to find out is to start a conversation.

Step 1: Complete the New Client Inquiry Form

Tell me a bit about your scheduling availability and what you’d like to gain from therapy. If I believe I’m a good fit, I’ll confirm your 15-minute phone consultation. If I think someone else might be a better match (due to clinical needs or availability), I’ll let you know via email.

Step 2: Book a Consultation

Return to this page and schedule a 15-minute telephone consultation. This is a low-pressure, no-obligation conversation. You can ask any questions, share more about your goals, and get a feel for how I work.

On my booking page, click “Book an Appointment With Me,:” then click “New Client Consultation.”

Step 3: Schedule First Session

If it feels like a fit, we’ll schedule your first therapy appointment. From there, we’ll set up your intake and start working together.
